Placer Sierra Bancshares, a 41 branch, $1.8B holding company headquartered in Sacramento, CA, recently acquired The Bank of Lodi. The consolidation of back office operations required that three years of Lodi's DataWorks check images and Financialware COLD report data be converted to a format that would easily import into Placer Sierra Bank's ITI Director Document Management Suite.

The old check images were stored on 429 8mm tapes and totaled 749GB of data. These images were converted from DataWork's proprietary format to standard COF and placed on three, 300GB hard drives that were then shipped to Placer Sierra for import into their current system.

Regarding the COLD reports, Placer Sierra copied 224GBs of report data to a Goldleaf-supplied hard drive and sent the drive to Goldleaf for processing. These files were converted from Financialware format to ASCII text and were given a file naming convention that also allowed them to be imported into ITI's Director without operator intervention.

Prior to running the job, Goldleaf produced samples of converted data that enabled Placer Sierra to perform test imports into the ITI system.
